I've started a new series of paintings, that are based on the robot post-it notes drawings. I really liked how some of them kind of encapsulate the character's, well, character. Once I've done a few more I'll start on the other set I want to do of various pulp inspired pretty girl pin-up art. I have to get this stuff out of my head and on to paper, or canvas, or whatever.

No kidding. Due to having no studio/living room for almost 1 month due to a ceiling leak and rebuild, I went into hibernation.
Things are slowly getting back in order. I have more space around my drawing table and easel. The desktop computer is out of action, which isn't too bad. I'll just use my old tank of an IBM Thinkpad to work on for now, which fits nicely on my new computer desk.

Enough about my problems, you say, what of the artsy thingy? Okay. Enjoy.

I'm going to try something a little different for this blog. Since I have lot more line art ready to show than paintings, let's start showing more of that sort of thing. I'm slowly scanning drawings out of all my sketchbooks. Most of it was done just to keep my hand in making marks on paper. I've done very few commissions and whatnot. They just aren't something I've pursued much of. Being someone's art drone for little or no pay is not my idea of fun. That being said, I am willing to do art for just pay.

Here's the first one.

This is first time I've done anything in 3D. Boy is painting on canvas easier. I'm going to do some more figures for fun this year.

I've not been doing much art lately. We're looking for a new place to live. Our current landlord finally got around to getting this place inspected. He needs to sink about 30k into fixing up the house. So guess who can't stay here. Oh wait, I gave away the ending already. oops. Well we have until mid-February to find lodgings.

Anyway, here is picture I painted with my Wacom tablet and Painter Classic. Don't ask me what it means. 100% digital, no analog input whatsoever.
